Details product

These handwoven brocade runners celebrate the artistry, precision, and traditions of Maya textile weaving in Guatemala. Created in collaboration with a cooperative of women in the department of Chimaltenango, each runner is thoughtfully woven by hand using a traditional brocade technique.

Brocade is a distinctive form of textile artistry in which decorative patterns are woven directly into the fabric as the textile is created. The geometric motifs add depth, texture, and visual interest, making each runner a beautiful expression of the weaver's skill and creativity.

Made from 100% cotton, these runners bring warmth and character to a dining table, console, or other special setting. Their timeless geometric patterns allow them to complement both contemporary and traditional interiors.

Every runner is individually woven, so subtle variations in pattern, color, and texture are part of its handmade character. By collaborating with a women's cooperative in Chimaltenango, Folk Project supports the continuation of traditional weaving practices and meaningful artisan relationships.
